Hummus will be smoother if you pour in the olive oil while the blender is running.<\/li><li>Use reserved chickpea liquid to smooth out the puree.  <\/li><li>Do not over salt if using salted chickpeas, maybe no salt at all will be necessary.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Hummus is one of those foods that is easy to make, full of protein and can help keep you free of hunger, prevent over snacking and actually keep you healthy.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is perfect for lunch with roasted red peppers in a pita sandwich, a snack with some pita chips or some raw veggies and it is also perfect as an appitizer for a party.
